[00:01:27] Lie on your back with a pillow under your head and a bolster under your knees. Ensure you are warm and ready to disconnect from the external world. Close your eyes and allow your body and mind to start relaxing. Take a deep breath in, and as you exhale, release a gentle sigh.
[00:01:58] Feel the weight of your body sinking into the surface beneath you. With each exhale, let go of tension, thoughts, and concerns. Allow yourself to be held by the ground below, trusting in the support it provides. In Yoga Nidra, we set an intention or resolve. Think of a short, positive statement that reflects your
[00:02:24] deepest desire, or a quality you wish to cultivate, such as peace or healing. Repeat this intention three times silently. We will now move through a progressive muscle relaxation.
[00:02:53] Start at your feet and work your way up. Curl your toes and tense your feet, then release. Tighten your
[00:03:07] calves, then release. Squeeze your thigh muscles, then release. Tighten your glutes and hips, then release.
[00:03:25] Pull in your stomach muscles, then release. Tighten your chest muscles, then release. Squeeze your arms
[00:03:45] and fists, then release. Raise your shoulders towards your ears, then release. Scrunch your facial muscles and tense your neck, and then release. Feel a wave of relaxation flowing through your body from head
[00:04:12] to toe. Focus on your breath now. Breathe naturally and observe the rise and fall of your abdomen with each inhale and exhale. Imagine with each breath in that you're drawing in calm and peace.
[00:04:34] With each breath out, you are releasing tension and stress. Imagine yourself walking through a peaceful meadow. The grass is soft and green beneath your feet, and the air is filled with the fresh scent of wildflowers. The sky above is clear and blue, with a few fluffy clouds drifting by. Visualize the vibrant
[00:05:01] colors of the flowers around you. And hear the gentle buzz of bees and the song of birds. As you walk, feel the warmth of the sun on your skin and the gentle breeze brushing against you. Find a comfortable spot
[00:05:24] in the meadow to sit and rest. Feel the soft grass beneath you and the tranquility of the surroundings. Close your eyes and listen to the soothing sounds of nature around you, allowing them to bring you deeper
[00:05:43] into relaxation. As you sit in the meadow, focus on the gentle sounds of nature. Let them carry away any remaining tension or stress. Imagine the peaceful environment aligning with your breath. In with calmness,
[00:06:06] out with tension. Return your focus to your intention set at the beginning. Repeat it silently, letting its positive energy fill your entire being. Begin to bring your awareness back to the present
[00:06:33] moment. Notice the sounds in the room, the temperature, and the surface beneath you. Gently wiggle your fingers
[00:06:52] and toes. When you're ready, roll to your right side, staying there for a few moments. Slowly find your way
[00:07:12] to a seated position. And open your eyes when you feel ready. Take a moment to reflect on the journey you've
