[00:00:04] Five important rules to follow when telecommuting.

[00:00:10] And hey there, I am Dan and I'm your host and narrator here on OWD,

[00:00:13] the show that's all about improving your work life.

[00:00:16] So I'm happy to be here sharing another article with you

[00:00:19] that will hopefully help you do just that.

[00:00:21] For now, let's get to our post from Dig2Fly as we optimize your life.

[00:01:22] What methods of communication you will be using? Carl's Note I've seen friends set their careers back

[00:01:25] because they stopped being a go-getter.

[00:01:28] They went into cruise mode and stopped wowing their manager and coworkers.

[00:01:32] One friend told me he wished he would have taken more accountability for his own work.

[00:01:36] Took him a year and a half to gain his manager's trust back.

[00:01:40] 2.

[00:01:42] Organize Yourself This is, stop, it's very easy to get caught up in your work and suffer in various ways. In being a happy employee, you need to be a healthy and balanced one too.

[00:03:02] Therefore, it's very important to have scheduled breaks for

[00:03:05] proper eating, exercise, etc. And five, don't abuse the system. When we work from home for a company, everyone wins when we play by the rules. This does not mean that you need to work more or harder than you normally would, but it does mean not abusing the system. While you may not lose your job, giving employers bad experiences with employees who telecommute

[00:04:20] ruins the opportunity for many others.

[00:04:22] If you really don't want to do what you're doing, then perhaps it's best to re-examine

[00:04:26] if this is the right job for you altogether. If you work for yourself from home, it can cause you to fail at bringing in a needed income and being a successful entrepreneur. Ultimately, remember that happiness is what you make of it. So whether in your home or in the workplace, your level of satisfaction will still come from you and how you approach your work.
