[00:01:36] Thousands of employees were interviewed about what they considered to be the best places to work.

[00:01:41] The answers they had were different from what the managers expected.

[00:01:45] As a manager, are you considering what your employees want and using it to create a better work environment?

[00:01:51] By using the information provided by these employees, we can better decide how to use our leadership qualities to build employee self-esteem.

[00:01:58] This will motivate your employees to better productivity at work.

[00:02:02] As an employee, are these five ingredients to the best places to work being fulfilled in your current job?

[00:02:08] Have you really taken time to consider what makes a good leader?

[00:02:12] Let's take a few minutes to find out if you have room for improvement as most of us do.

[00:02:17] Number 1. Challenge.

[00:02:19] The first ingredient of a good job was challenging, interesting work.

[00:02:23] This was work that keeps the employee busy and involved all day long.

[00:02:27] Give your employees a challenge that will keep them busy.

[00:02:30] They will respect you as a leader and have better self-esteem because they understand that you have faith in them.

[00:02:36] When employees stay involved in interesting work, they will be passionate about what they are doing and enjoy their work more.

[00:02:42] You can learn more about leading your staff by challenging them from the infographic on leadership qualities that you can find in this post.

[00:02:50] 2. Being informed.

[00:02:53] The second ingredient was a feeling of being in the know.

[00:02:56] A good job was defined as one where the employee felt that he or she was fully informed of what was happening in the company.

[00:03:02] The employee felt like an insider, like an important part of a larger group.

[00:03:07] Keep your employees informed of what is going on within the organization.

[00:03:10] Whether it's a 10-minute meeting every day or a daily or weekly email,

[00:03:14] employees will have more drive because they feel they are contributing something to the organization's success as a whole.

[00:03:20] You can learn more about inspiring your employees from my blog article on transforming your life with the power of positive thinking and encouraging self-esteem in the workplace.

[00:03:29] As an employee, do you feel that you're in the know with your company?

[00:03:33] Do you feel that it is one of the best places to work?

[00:03:36] If not, how can you become more involved in your organization?

[00:03:39] I promise that the more you know about your company, the more self-esteem and pride you will have in the work that you do for them.

[00:03:46] 3. Trusting work environment.

[00:03:49] The third ingredient of a great place to work was a high trust environment.

[00:03:54] This was defined as a job where a person could feel free to do his or her best and to make mistakes without being criticized or fired.

[00:04:01] When employees felt that they were free to make mistakes with no punishment or hostility,

[00:04:06] they developed better self-esteem and pride in their work.

[00:04:09] They enjoyed their work much more, became more creative, and worked more effectively with other people.

[00:04:15] Use your leadership qualities as a manager to allow employees freedom and trust them.

[00:04:20] You hired them so trust in their abilities.

[00:04:24] 4. Caring people.

[00:04:26] The fourth ingredient in a good job was a caring boss and friendly co-workers.

[00:04:31] Often the human environment was more important than anything else.

[00:04:35] People feel the best places to work are where they get along well with everyone.

[00:04:38] The happier they felt with their work relationships, the better they worked,

[00:04:41] the lower the level of absenteeism was, and the more productive they were.

[00:04:46] A caring attitude is one of the great leadership qualities of a great boss.

[00:04:49] You inspire your employees' attitudes and self-esteem.

[00:04:53] They will emulate your attitude and the way you act.

[00:04:56] If you're happy with your work, your employees will also be happier.

[00:05:00] 5. Fair pay and good opportunities.

[00:05:04] The fifth ingredient for a good job turned out to be good pay and opportunities for promotion and advancement.

[00:05:10] To the surprise of many managers, the issue of pay was number five among factors that constituted a good job or one of the best places to work.

[00:05:18] Take action.

[00:05:20] Try using your leadership qualities to challenge and inform your employees.

[00:05:24] By creating a trusting work environment with great opportunities,

[00:05:27] you will increase your employees' self-esteem and work ethic immediately.
