[00:00:00] [SPEAKER_00]: This is Optimal Work Daily, how to take action on your dreams by Mia of She Dreams All Day.com.

[00:00:09] [SPEAKER_00]: I bet you have big dreams, wild dreams. Dreams you never think will come true in a million years.

[00:00:15] [SPEAKER_00]: What if I told you that you're wrong and that anything is possible? You can have and achieve anything you want.

[00:00:22] [SPEAKER_00]: The solution can be found in taking action and planning for your dreams. This is what this post is all about.

[00:00:28] [SPEAKER_00]: You learn how to take action on your dreams and how you can start today.

[00:00:32] [SPEAKER_00]: Don't wait until life has passed you by, and I definitely don't want you to have any regrets about not going after the life you truly wanted to live.

[00:00:40] [SPEAKER_00]: I don't wish that onto anyone.

[00:00:43] [SPEAKER_00]: Starting with the end in mind.

[00:00:45] [SPEAKER_00]: When you're trying to map out your entire life and set huge goals for yourself, it can be rather overwhelming at times.

[00:00:52] [SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes you won't feel like you're moving forward even though you are.

[00:00:55] [SPEAKER_00]: You feel the urge to wake up early and make your dreams come true right away.

[00:00:59] [SPEAKER_00]: I feel you, but we need to go slow and take one day at a time.

[00:01:03] [SPEAKER_00]: The secret to how to take action on your dreams is to start with the end in mind and work your way backward.

[00:01:10] [SPEAKER_00]: For example, Big Gole. I want to make $500,000 from my new online business.

[00:01:16] [SPEAKER_00]: You have to break this big goal way down into smaller, actionable to do's that you can easily plot on your calendar for tomorrow morning's tasks.

[00:01:24] [SPEAKER_00]: It has to be manageable and actionable, like these examples.

[00:01:28] [SPEAKER_00]: Daily actionable goals.

[00:01:30] [SPEAKER_00]: Write one blog post.

[00:01:33] [SPEAKER_00]: Sign up for an email marketing service.

[00:01:35] [SPEAKER_00]: Reach out to one blogger for a guest post opportunity

[00:01:38] [SPEAKER_00]: and post one photo on Instagram with appropriate hashtags.

[00:01:43] [SPEAKER_00]: Think big, allow yourself to dream and then think small and take action.

[00:01:48] [SPEAKER_00]: This is the true secret to success.

[00:01:51] [SPEAKER_00]: Big dreams, small actions, every day.

[00:01:54] [SPEAKER_00]: The importance of tackling the week ahead.

[00:01:58] [SPEAKER_00]: Sit down every Sunday and make time to plan out the coming week.

[00:02:01] [SPEAKER_00]: Spend your Sunday afternoon checking in with your goals.

[00:02:04] [SPEAKER_00]: Plan your week ahead and go through all the things that need your attention for the next seven days.

[00:02:09] [SPEAKER_00]: You can, for instance, do a weekly review alongside your planning on Sundays.

[00:02:14] [SPEAKER_00]: Ask yourself the following questions.

[00:02:17] [SPEAKER_00]: Are you living in line with your dreams and your vision?

[00:02:20] [SPEAKER_00]: Are you making progress?

[00:02:21] [SPEAKER_00]: What did you achieve this week?

[00:02:22] [SPEAKER_00]: Which tasks were left untouched?

[00:02:25] [SPEAKER_00]: How can you improve next week?

[00:02:28] [SPEAKER_00]: Plan for your results.

[00:02:30] [SPEAKER_00]: If there is one golden rule that I've learned on my personal development journey,

[00:02:34] [SPEAKER_00]: it is to plan for the results you want in your life and in as much detail as possible.

[00:02:39] [SPEAKER_00]: Get out a massive action list of to-do's related to your big goal

[00:02:43] [SPEAKER_00]: and start plotting them on your calendar.

[00:02:46] [SPEAKER_00]: Start with your wildest dream and break the actions down into manageable tasks.

[00:02:51] [SPEAKER_00]: Ask yourself.

[00:02:52] [SPEAKER_00]: How can I get this result in my life?

[00:02:55] [SPEAKER_00]: What 100 actions can I take?

[00:02:57] [SPEAKER_00]: And what can I do today to move forward?

[00:03:00] [SPEAKER_00]: Lesson the pressure by breaking the actions down.

[00:03:03] [SPEAKER_00]: Be as specific as you can and ask yourself what you can do today for just five minutes.

[00:03:08] [SPEAKER_00]: If that's all you have.

[00:03:10] [SPEAKER_00]: Spending five minutes on your dreams every day is better than no minutes at all.

[00:03:14] [SPEAKER_00]: You're moving forward slowly but steadily.

[00:03:17] [SPEAKER_00]: So use this time wisely and honor your commitment and always come back to your why

[00:03:21] [SPEAKER_00]: when you need to.

[00:03:22] [SPEAKER_00]: When you plan for specific results and not just the action,

[00:03:26] [SPEAKER_00]: it does something to your mindset and your commitment to your goal.

[00:03:29] [SPEAKER_00]: For example, you wake up early to work on your online business.

[00:03:33] [SPEAKER_00]: You want to make it profitable.

[00:03:34] [SPEAKER_00]: You need to write 10 blogs and sign up for an email service.

[00:03:38] [SPEAKER_00]: Be active on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.

[00:03:41] [SPEAKER_00]: But also Pinterest.

[00:03:43] [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, that reminds me.

[00:03:44] [SPEAKER_00]: You have to create and publish pins every day.

[00:03:47] [SPEAKER_00]: In other words, your to-do list is endless.

[00:03:49] [SPEAKER_00]: Ask yourself, what can I do today to get closer to my goal?

[00:03:54] [SPEAKER_00]: Break it all down and schedule the results you expect to get in that time frame on your calendar.

[00:03:59] [SPEAKER_00]: I personally love Google Calendar for this.

[00:04:02] [SPEAKER_00]: Put down the result you want to produce not the action.

[00:04:05] [SPEAKER_00]: Add a deadline to each task and honor that commitment.

[00:04:09] [SPEAKER_00]: Make your to-do's time sensitive and plan your days down to the dot.

[00:04:14] [SPEAKER_00]: Example, correct.

[00:04:16] [SPEAKER_00]: 6am to 7am.

[00:04:17] [SPEAKER_00]: I will write one blog post and create one new pin.

[00:04:21] [SPEAKER_00]: Incorrect.

[00:04:21] [SPEAKER_00]: 6am to 7am.

[00:04:23] [SPEAKER_00]: I will work on my online business.

[00:04:25] [SPEAKER_00]: We can get something done in one hour or drag it out from months.

[00:04:29] [SPEAKER_00]: It's up to you.

[00:04:30] [SPEAKER_00]: Honor your dreams and take action every day.

[00:04:33] [SPEAKER_00]: It will always add up in the end.

[00:04:36] [SPEAKER_00]: Produce more in less time.

[00:04:38] [SPEAKER_00]: The key to getting results fast is learning how to switch your mindset from being

[00:04:42] [SPEAKER_00]: busy to actually getting to work and seeing results by producing 10 times as much as you would if you were just busy.

[00:04:50] [SPEAKER_00]: Set expectations to get more done in less time.

[00:04:54] [SPEAKER_00]: Writing the first few chapters of your novel can either take you two months or two weeks.

[00:04:58] [SPEAKER_00]: It's like Parkinson's Law.

[00:05:00] [SPEAKER_00]: The work expands so as to fill the time available for its completion.

[00:05:04] [SPEAKER_00]: Make the commitment to yourself and state that no matter what, you will produce what you plan for in the time frame given on your calendar.

[00:05:11] [SPEAKER_00]: Be okay with B-work and produce in spite of the little flaws your work might have.

[00:05:17] [SPEAKER_00]: You can always go back and improve later on.

[00:05:20] [SPEAKER_00]: Stop indulging in perfectionism and get to work on your dreams.

[00:05:24] [SPEAKER_00]: You have to start somewhere and somewhere means putting your work out there even if it's not perfect.

[00:05:29] [SPEAKER_00]: Be okay with putting out decent work.

[00:05:31] [SPEAKER_00]: Producing decent work is much better than not producing anything at all because you fear failure, rejection or falling flat on your face.

[00:05:39] [SPEAKER_00]: Take action.

[00:05:41] [SPEAKER_00]: Get out your massive action list, take off your to-do's and start producing.

[00:05:46] [SPEAKER_00]: To avoid any overwhelmed fear or doubt, start small.

[00:05:50] [SPEAKER_00]: If you're writing a book, break it down and start with writing one good sentence.

[00:05:54] [SPEAKER_00]: Then a paragraph.

[00:05:55] [SPEAKER_00]: Then two paragraphs and then a chapter.

[00:05:58] [SPEAKER_00]: If you're starting a blog, break it down and start with signing up for hosting, get your domain,

[00:06:03] [SPEAKER_00]: writing down the title of your first blog post, and don't think about all the other things that need to get done.

[00:06:08] [SPEAKER_00]: You're to-do's won't ever come to an end and you need to be okay with that.

[00:06:12] [SPEAKER_00]: Start small and get big results.

[00:06:15] [SPEAKER_00]: The most important thing is that you actually take action and take one little bite of the elephant every day.

[00:06:20] [SPEAKER_00]: It won't always be sunshine and roses.

[00:06:22] [SPEAKER_00]: There will be days when you don't want to take action on your dreams and goals.

[00:06:26] [SPEAKER_00]: Expect negative emotions like fear, self doubt and confusion to pop up.

[00:06:30] [SPEAKER_00]: Know that this is completely normal when you're chasing dreams and going for it.

[00:06:35] [SPEAKER_00]: Nothing has gone wrong.

[00:06:36] [SPEAKER_00]: Negative emotions do not mean stop.

[00:06:38] [SPEAKER_00]: It just means you're leaving the comfy safe space that is your comfort zone and that's a good thing.

[00:06:44] [SPEAKER_00]: Take action no matter how hard your brain tries to fight you on it, and you'll be on your way to your dream destination in no time.

[00:06:51] [SPEAKER_00]: Before you go, last minute pep talk incoming.

[00:06:55] [SPEAKER_00]: You've got this dreamer.

[00:06:56] [SPEAKER_00]: Don't wait to be inspired.

[00:06:58] [SPEAKER_00]: Take action today.
