Episode 2199:
In the second half, Steve Chou turns from the problem to what to build instead of an online business that resells other people's products. He lays out a sequence for entrepreneurs starting with little capital: use a dropshipped store to learn what actually sells, move into wholesale inventory once demand is proven, and private label a brand of your own once there is capital to do it. His closing argument is that competition is unavoidable and price is the weakest place to fight it, so the store that lasts is the one with a small niche, a real value proposition, and service worth paying more for.

Quotes to ponder:
"The best way to sell online today is to source your own products and establish your own brand."
"Moral of the story: Pick the market less traveled."
"Ultimately, there's more to the success of your store than just the lowest price."
